At Trescal, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees have equal opportunities to develop and succeed.

Gender Pay Gap reporting measures the difference in the average pay of men and women across the organisation. It is important to note that this is different from equal pay, which relates to men and women being paid the same for performing the same or equivalent work. We are confident that men and women are paid equally for equivalent roles across our organisation.

We employ significantly more men than women and there are currently more men than women in senior and specialist roles. A large proportion of our employees are Technicians and Engineers and employees that work within STEM roles (science, technology, engineering and maths) where there is a historical gender bias in the UK.

Based on the reporting snapshot date of 1st April, our analysis shows a mean gender pay gap of 5.1% and a median gender pay gap of 7.3%. This means that on average, male employees earn slightly more per hour than female employees across the organisation.

The main driver behind this gap is the distribution of employees across different roles and levels within the business. Our workforce, particularly within engineering and technical positions, has historically had a higher proportion of male employees. This is reflected in our pay quartile data, where men make up the majority of employees in the upper middle and upper pay quartiles.
